Your preferred image size will generally be dictated by the location where the image will be displayed. The more common sizes are indicated for each image, but other sizes are available upon request.

There are three primary options (and options within each option!) to consider with respect to displaying images: print, canvas, or metal.

 Prints

In this case, the image is printed on photographic paper with white margins suitable for framing. Framed prints are very attractive, but the added cost of framing should be considered when determining the overall cost of presenting your image. In addition, your choice of finish on the photo paper can influence the look of your image. Glossy paper has a shiny finish that enhances vibrant colours and deep blacks whereas Matte paper is a more flat-looking paper with a smooth surface that is low in gloss. Luster paper has a slightly textured surface that lessens the glare of glossy prints but offers great color vibrancy and detail. It is considered an excellent multi-use paper.

Images will be printed on Ilford Smooth Pearl Archival Photo Paper unless otherwise indicated at time of purchase. Prints are delivered “flat” protected by sturdy cardboard packaging.

 Canvas

With this option, the image is printed on canvas which is then stretched over a wooden frame. Canvas prints are generally lighter than framed prints and show well where other presentation options might be prone to reflections. With respect to presentation there are two options – either the outer margins of the original image are duplicated on the portion of the canvas that is wrapped around the frame or the wrap-around portion is printed as black, white or a colour that is “colour-picked” from within the image. Regardless, the full extent of the original image is displayed on the front surface.

The image is printed on Premium Fine Art Canvas and laminated to protect against scuffs and abrasions. The first presentation option is used unless otherwise indicated at time of purchase. Canvas prints are delivered ready for hanging.

 Metal

With this option, dyes are infused directly into a pre-treated aluminum sheet via heat transfer. The resultant image is light weight, durable and has a modern look.  The final image surface may vary from Gloss which produces intense colours with impressive detail to Matte which has a softer appearance that minimizes reflections.

The Gloss option is selected unless otherwise indicated at time of purchase. Metal prints are delivered in a carefully packaged carboard box ready for hanging
